For use in the Food market to comply with HACCP criteria it is important that the temperature profiling system is as accurate as possible. A critical part to the accuracy of the temperature measurement is the accuracy of the thermocouple. All PhoenixTM hermocouples are manufactured to the highest quality standards and conform to either ANSIMC96.1 ‘special limits’ specification (type K) or IEC60584.2 Class 1 (type T) as detailed below. The hot junctions of all PhoenixTM thermocouples are made of food grade 316 stainless steel and offered with straight or tapered collars to help guarantee secure placement and positioning of the measurement tip in the food product being measured.
Complimenting the standard range of Type K and T thermocouples PhoenixTM now offers a new range of Type K thermocouples designed so that they can be offered with an optional thermocouple certificate of calibration. The needle probe is designed so that the inner thermocouple core wires are continuous from thermocouple plug right through to the measurement tip of the needle allowing thermocouple wire calibration data to apply to the probe measurement. The quad wrapped thermocouple cable design ensures that the thermocouple wires are protected from the hostile application conditions whilst retaining flexibility. An optional 7-point thermocouple certificate of calibration allows creation of Thermocouple Calibration Correction files in the PhoenixTM Thermal View Food Software which permits automatic thermocouple correction factors to be applied to the profile data. PhoenixTM 'Thermal View' is a powerful software package allowing you to quickly and easily analyze data from your process. Screen layout is clear and using the enhanced control bar makes this a very easy, package to operate, with all the analysis functions you will need.
Above all two key elements have been fundamental in the design of this software:- Simplicity. Too many software packages have functions built in that benefit only a few users and complicate the package for the majority. We have avoided this without compromising the available analysis in Thermal View
- Clarity. The software screen has been laid out so users can see what is really important to them - the profile of their oven, furnace, or kiln. The user interface is clearly laid out at the side of the screen to give maximum space to the profile and calculation area.
When data is downloaded from the Data Logger, the results are saved in a database for easy access which can be organized in a logical manner using the multi column sorting facility. Process templates can then be constructed so the data can be overlaid against a backdrop which represents all physical points within your oven / furnace.
The analysis functions allow you to examine and assess all your critical process parameters in a fast uncomplicated way. For example, it is possible for the user to click and drag 'inspection areas' to any point within the profile so calculations like 'time at temperature' and maximum and minimum temperatures' can be made within specific areas rather than across the whole process.
