All Phoenix TM thermocouples are manufactured to the highest quality standards and conform to the ANSI MC96.1 special limits specification with accuracy +/-1.1°C or +/-0.4%. The insulation material and the plug terminations are color coded to conform to the IEC 60584 standard.
For temperatures up to 1000 °C and diameters of 1 mm or 0.5 mm the thermocouple sheath is a high temperature nickel-chromium-iron alloy (HT Alloy - Inconel®) providing resistance to corrosion and heat along with high strength and good workability. These thermocouples have an insulated hot junction (HJ) to ensure maximum protection against electrical interference from heating elements within the furnace. The thermocouple can be supplied in different MI diameters (0.5 to 3.0 mm – standard 1.6 mm) to suit the application needs, handling requirements and response characteristics.
For temperatures above 1000 °C the thermocouple sheath recommended is an Ultra-High Temperature alloy (UHT Alloy). The alloy is a nickel-chromium with 1.4% silicon which provides inert high oxidation resistance and strength at temperatures up to 1250 °C. Thermocouples with 1.6 mm and 2.0 mm diameter wire are available with the option to include AMS2750E and CQI-9 compliant calibration certificate.
Thermocouple design options allow either standard termination in the thermocouple plug or with a PTFE tail which is helpful when managing installation of high numbers of thermocouples in thermal barriers such as the TS06 & TS07 (Aluminium Solution and Steel Reheat Applications).TC28-100-K l Mineral Insulated Thermocouple, Nicrobel Inconel Type K 1.0mm, Max Temperature 1000°C - 1.0m long

SW25 l Thermal view survey software
PhoenixTM 'Thermal View Survey' is a powerful software package for recording and analysing TUS data from your furnace and oven surveys. The key fundamentals of this software package are:
- Simplicity: Screen layout is clear, concise, and intuitive making the software user friendly, uncluttered, and easy to use without compromise to the analysis detail available.
- Accuracy: the software has been designed so users can set up and control the survey in real time, then analyse the resulting data and produce within minutes, the hard copy report with full compliance to industry requirements including AMS2750E, etc.
When the Data Logger is downloaded the information is saved in a database which can be organised in a logical manner for easy access to the historical data. Templates can be constructed for frequently used TUS temperature test levels and TUS frame diagrams or photographs. Thermocouple and data logger correction factors can be entered into the software to give fully corrected data in real time operation, or for historic analysis and report print out.
‘PhoenixTM Survey’ software is bundled together with ‘Thermal View Plus’, a package with extra analysis features including real time operation for other heat treatment users.
‘PhoenixTM Survey’ software has all the essential functions you require to help you monitor, and analyse your TUS surveys, produce compliant reports, save production time and free up your technical staff.

• TUS with up to 60 thermocouplesIncreasing the power of the Survey software new functionality has been added to allow TUS surveys to be completed with up to 60 thermocouples. By merging TUS files from three 20 channel data loggers a single TUS survey report can be created with full access to Thermocouple and instrument correction factors and TUS frame generation. The single TUS report provides all necessary information to comply to CQI9 and AMS2750E.
